I’m Julianne Burke. I have four years of experience creating impactful digital experiences with VR, AR, green screen and mobile technology. I design with accessibility and inclusivity at the forefront, and love experimenting with emerging technologies like virtual and augmented reality. I'm passionate about empowering the next generation of designers with mentorship, coaching, and accessible design education.
In my current role on the Educator team at Thinkful, I coach students as they move through Thinkful's UX/UI program and help them gain real insights into their new career field. I assist them in working through problems, help structure their study plan, tailor a curriculum that best fits their study style, provide guidance based on my industry experience, and serve as a role model for what they hope to be in their future career.
I'm extremely passionate about being involved with the greater creative community. I’m a volunteer design mentor for Built By Girls, Hexagon UX, and an alumni mentor for the RIT New Media Club. I also write and speak about the various facets of design and the design process, and explore other creative outlets such as zines.
